Poise Search Fashion and Modeling Company is JC’s leading, diverse modeling school. Whether you are new to the industry or have goals of becoming a better model, we have a course or workshop just for you, regardless of your age, gender, and body type.
Our courses and workshops are taught by local industry veterans. It is an elite education in both the practical and artistic sides of what us often viewed as a complex and mysterious industry. Class sizes are kept relatively small so that we can tailor our education to each student individually.

Khiara Brown is allowing her past in the modeling industry and college experience to help others reach their fullest potential.
Brown, 28, an Inglewood, California, native, is the founder and CEO of the Poise Brand, whose mission is to help women and men gain beginner model training, receive tools to heightened self-confidence and slay with poppin’ skin.
Poise Brand was made to ensure that people never lose sight of self and their principles.
Ms. Brown received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Lincoln University of Missouri, worked with the youth for over 12 years, mentored young ladies for over 8 years, modeled for 13 years, and a makeup artist for 8 years.
Through Poise Brand strategies of self-healing, proper skin care, and confidence building, proves that beauty is only determined based on one’s values, how he or she carry themselves, and treats others.

Poise Brand has paved a direct route for models to support minority owned businesses, build their portfolio, while at the same time pour resources into the ever-evolving Poise Community.
FOR THE YOUTH
The Royal Youth Model Bootcamp a seven-week summer and fall course for young ladies and young men ages 8-17, Teaching artistic skills such as modeling, sewing and acting as well as practical skills like financial literacy and yoga.
Along with learning hard skills, participants will also be taught about The Ma’at Principles — truth, justice, harmony, balance, order, reciprocity and righteousness, tying in African cultural morals and beliefs.
“The program (will) force you to think,” Brown said. “It’s actually forcing you to challenge what you believe in.”
“You can get rid of all of your history and stuff you’ve learned, which has molded you to what you are now, but what was the importance of you leaving that?” Brown asked hypothetically. “What did you go to now? If you don’t believe in anything, you now don’t know yourself.”
Brown said she understands not all participants may agree with the principles she will discuss, but she hopes they are able to take away what they need from the program.

In this generation, people are succumbed to only fixing external influences and instant gratification. We are too comfortable and crave for convenience in the world today.
As a licensed LLC, The Poise Brand wants you to know thyself inside and learn “prolong gratification”, so when success hits in your industry or market, the external forces will not change the REALNESS within you. We teach love, patience, and the enjoyment in taking your time. IT’S TIME TO DO THE DIRTY WORK!
The Poise Brand’s goal is to ensure that our Kweens and Kingz are supplied with strategies that brings discipline, consistency, wealth and inner well-being. We do this by breaking down how a human being works and the ways of our inner mechanisms and make it fun in the world of beauty, fashion and modeling.
